Nominated for Ligue 1 Goal of the Month
Lee Kang-in of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in French professional football has been nominated for Ligue 1 Goal of the Month after his curling left-footed goal against Montpellier was selected as PSG's Goal of the Month.
On the 5th (KST), PSG officially announced through their social media (SNS) that Lee Kang-in's curling goal against Montpellier was chosen as PSG's Goal of the Month for March.
On the 18th of last month, Lee Kang-in showcased a fantastic curling left-footed shot during the 26th round away match of the 2023-2024 Ligue 1 season held at Stade de la Mosson in Montpellier, France.
With the team leading 3-2 in the 8th minute of the second half, Lee Kang-in received the ball on the right side of the penalty arc, exchanged a one-two pass with Randal Kolo Muani ahead, and struck a thunderous curling left-footed shot near the penalty arc that hit the top corner of the goal, marking his fourth goal of the season.
This goal by Lee Kang-in was included among the five best goals selected for the 26th round by Ligue 1, and he was also named in the Ligue 1 Best XI for the 26th round.
Lee Kang-in's curling shot was also nominated for the Ligue 1 Goal of the Month for March, announced by the Ligue 1 office via SNS on the 5th.
Along with Lee Kang-in, PSG teammates Kylian Mbapp?, Jonathan Clauss (Marseille), Ito Junya (Stade de Reims), and Elie Wahie (Lens) were selected as candidates for the award.
