Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) announced on the 11th that it will hold the "1st Night of Young Entrepreneurs" hosted by the "Seoul Youth Center Gwangjin" at the Dongbu Women's Development Center.
The Night of Young Entrepreneurs was promoted based on the "Gwangjin-gu Youth Survey (2022)" which highlighted the need for support in entrepreneurial activities, delivery of startup information, and professional counseling for youth. The purpose is to attract young entrepreneurs, build networks, and continuously strengthen youth growth engines by linking with related organizations.
The event will be held a total of five times. The first session, held at 7 p.m. on the 11th, will invite the CEO of a management consulting firm to address general questions about startups, including ▲ how to write proposals selected for government support projects ▲ key communication skills training ▲ and a Q&A session.
The target audience is young entrepreneurs aged 19 to 39 who reside in or have their living area in Gwangjin-gu, or youth preparing to start a business. Youth wishing to participate can apply by referring to the youth portal on the Gwangjin-gu Office website by the 10th. Selection is on a first-come, first-served basis for 30 people. Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "We prepared this communication opportunity to help young entrepreneurs with the economic and social difficulties they face in the early stages of starting a business, even if only a little." He added, "We will continue to implement customized youth support projects so that young entrepreneurs can shine even more."
Meanwhile, the Night of Young Entrepreneurs plans to hold meetings with young entrepreneurs in the food service and food manufacturing sectors in May, the sewing and fashion sectors in June, the investment sector in September, and the women entrepreneurship sector in October.
