A fire broke out at around 9:04 a.m. on the 3rd at a scrap metal crushing factory in Juchon-myeon, Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, the fire department, upon receiving the report, deployed 19 firefighting vehicles and 41 personnel, and extinguished the fire completely by around 11:44 a.m.
The fire damaged the inside of the factory, but no casualties were reported.
The fire is estimated to have started when fuel vapor leaked during the process of crushing cans and drums.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
