Jeju Air Expands China Routes, Launches New Flights to Daxing and Zhangjiajie

Resumption of Incheon·Busan~Seujang Route Service

Jeju Air is set to significantly expand its routes to China, including Beijing Daxing and Zhangjiajie.

Jeju Air announced on the 3rd that starting from the 24th of this month, it will launch new flights on the Jeju~Beijing Daxing route (4 times a week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) and the Muan~Zhangjiajie route (4 times a week, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday).

On the 26th and 27th, new flights will also begin on the Jeju~Xi'an route (twice a week, Monday and Friday) and the Muan~Yanji route (twice a week, Tuesday and Saturday), respectively.

Additionally, flights on the Incheon~Shijiazhuang route (twice a week, Monday and Friday) and the Busan~Shijiazhuang route (twice a week, Tuesday and Saturday) will resume operations.

By proactively expanding its China routes this summer, Jeju Air aims to recover demand that had been sluggish since the COVID-19 pandemic and to generate new passenger traffic.

In particular, by increasing flights to China departing from regional airports such as Busan and Muan, the airline expects to enhance convenience for travelers from the Yeongnam and Honam regions while also contributing to the revitalization of regional airports.

A Jeju Air representative stated, "The recovery speed of passenger demand on China routes, which had been relatively slow after COVID-19, is gradually accelerating. Through expanding air routes to China, we will absorb passenger demand visiting Korea and contribute to the revitalization of the domestic tourism industry."
