The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters conducted a '119 Safety Experience Education' for university students majoring in fire-related fields.
The Fire and Disaster Headquarters invited 78 students from the Fire Safety Management Department of Osan University Volunteer Fire Brigade (March 26-27) and 107 students from the Fire Safety Equipment Department of Daelim University (March 28-29) to the Gyeonggi-do Fire Academy, operating a two-day 'University Student 119 Safety Experience Course,' the headquarters announced on the 31st.

Through this safety experience course, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters provided education on all aspects of firefighting, including ▲water spraying and wearing self-contained breathing apparatus ▲fire experience such as escaping from smoke-filled confined space mazes ▲rescue experience such as rope descent ▲cardiopulmonary resuscitation ▲emergency airway obstruction treatment and other first aid experiences.
In particular, Cho Sungho, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, gave a special lecture on the theme of 'The Future Direction of Firefighting.'
Jung Byungdo, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire Academy, said, "We prepared this experiential course to enhance the understanding of firefighting overall by providing hands-on fire education to prospective fire officials," adding, "The response from participating university students was enthusiastic, and we plan to expand this program."
