Among senior officials of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and heads of its affiliated agencies, Lee Hak-jae, President of Incheon International Airport Corporation, reported the highest amount of assets.

According to the '2024 Regular Asset Change Report for Senior Officials' published in the official gazette on the 28th by the Government Official Ethics Committee, Jin Hyun-hwan, the 1st Vice Minister of MOLIT, reported assets worth 98.16 million KRW as of the end of last year. This is 28.27 million KRW less than the assets reported when he was Director General of Housing and Land in November last year. The decrease was largely due to a reduction in deposit balances from 107.17 million KRW to 80.08 million KRW, caused by support for children's tuition and living expenses. The apartment owned by Vice Minister Jin in Sejong Haemildong, Haemil Village Complex 2, with an exclusive area of 112.66㎡, remained unchanged in value at 560 million KRW.

Baek Won-guk, the 2nd Vice Minister of MOLIT, reported assets totaling 2.27581 billion KRW. While deposits increased by about 180 million KRW due to interest and earned income, the value of the apartment jointly owned with his spouse in Naeson-dong, Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi Province, Bando Bora Complex 1, with an area of 128.52㎡, decreased from 717 million KRW to 529 million KRW.

Among MOLIT officials at the director level or higher who reported assets this time, only Lee Yoon-sang, Director General of the Transport and Logistics Office, showed an increase in total assets. The assets reported by Director Lee totaled 1.17072 billion KRW, an increase of 41.73 million KRW in deposits and securities compared to November last year. However, his parents and eldest son refused to disclose their assets, citing independent livelihood maintenance.

Among heads of MOLIT-affiliated agencies, Lee Hak-jae, President of Incheon International Airport Corporation, reported the highest assets at 5.60627 billion KRW. He purchased a 3-beonji rice paddy in Bangha-ri, Namsan-myeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon Province, for 50 million KRW under his name, but due to increased financial liabilities, his assets decreased by 27 million KRW compared to those disclosed in September last year.

Kwon Yong-bok, Chairman of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, reported assets of 4.15443 billion KRW, about 300 million KRW less than a year ago. Although the value of buildings increased by more than 800 million KRW, including a jeonse contract (115 million KRW) for an apartment in Pangyo Won Village Complex 13, Pangyo-dong, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province, under his spouse's name, the value of land such as 840-19 Gyoro-ri, Seokmun-myeon, Asan-si, Chungnam Province (1,222.00㎡) decreased by about 50 million KRW. Deposits held by him and his family also decreased by about 1.1 billion KRW due to living expenses and other expenditures.

Lee Han-jun, President of Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), also reported assets exceeding 4 billion KRW. The value of buildings, including an apartment in Kumho Bestville, Jamwon-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, with an area of 140.36㎡ under his name, decreased by 260 million KRW, but this was offset by an increase in deposits of about 200 million KRW. He also registered for the first time virtual assets (such as Bitcoin) owned by his eldest son, valued at 40.21 million KRW.

Kim Ki-hwan, CEO of Busan-Ulsan Expressway Co., Ltd., reported assets totaling 2.2 billion KRW, an increase of 460.79 million KRW compared to last year, of which the value of virtual assets such as Luna Classic, Bitcoin, and Ethereum was 662.93 million KRW.
