Selected Teams to Perform 2-5 Times Each from April to November, with a Fixed Performance Fee Provided
Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) will publicly recruit 'street performance groups' to carry out cultural and artistic performances at local tourist attractions, plazas, parks, and other locations from the 27th of this month to the 5th of next month.
This year's street performances aim to provide performance opportunities not only for professional performers but also for talented local artists, allowing residents to enjoy cultural and artistic performances in open spaces during their daily lives.
The recruitment targets are groups or individuals residing in or based in the district who can perform independently in any outdoor space. Performances in genres such as ▲classical ▲pop songs ▲jazz ▲gugak (traditional Korean music) ▲instrumental performances are all eligible to participate.
Applicants can download the application form from the 'Notices/Announcements' board on the Yongsan-gu website and submit it along with a performance video (URL) of up to 4 minutes to the person in charge via email within the application period.
The district will comprehensively evaluate the submitted documents and performance videos based on performance capability and communication skills with the audience to select a total of 30 teams.
The selection results will be posted on the district website on April 17, and successful applicants will be individually notified via text message and email.
The selected street performance groups will showcase various cultural and artistic performances across Yongsan streets from April to November. Each team will perform 2 to 5 times and receive a set performance fee.
