Busan is Transforming into a Playground for Children's Future! ... 12 More 'Deullak Nallak' Places Added Coming and going at Busan City Hall.

'Deullaknalak' is a complex cultural space within a 15-minute living radius, reflecting regional characteristics with various contents (books, immersive digital content, media art, etc.) and various programs that children and parents can use safely.

As of March this year, 47 locations have been opened, and 37 are under construction.

The city received new project applications from districts and counties from January to February, and through on-site visits and project selection reviews at this committee, a total of 12 sites were selected by scale: ▲Large (over 1000㎡) 2 sites ▲Medium (over 330㎡) 5 sites ▲Small (over 150㎡) 5 sites.

By region, there is 1 site in Jung-gu, 1 in Seo-gu, 2 in Yeongdo-gu, 1 in Busanjin-gu, 1 in Nam-gu, 1 in Haeundae-gu, 2 in Geumjeong-gu, and 3 in Sasang-gu.

The 12 newly selected sites will receive a total project cost of 16.5 billion KRW (11.5 billion KRW from the city, 5 billion KRW from districts/counties) and will be transformed from idle or neglected spaces within existing public facilities into pleasant and enjoyable spaces filled with children's laughter.

Additionally, through collaboration with institutions such as the Cultural Foundation, diverse and excellent programs will be conducted, including cooperative programs like 'Play with English,' 'Visiting Municipal Art Troupe,' and creative convergence programs like 'Little Makers.'

Mayor Park Hyung-jun stated, “With the 12 newly selected project sites and the ongoing projects opening sequentially, citizens will be able to conveniently use 'Deullaknalak' closer to them.” He added, “Our city will continue to strive to realize 'Busan, a city where people want to live again,' by linking with the 15-minute city concept so that citizens can feel the joy and value of living in Busan near their homes.”

Those who want to find information about 'Deullaknalak' near their homes or participate in programs operated at 'Deullaknalak' can use the Busan Children's Complex Cultural Space integrated platform.

The city plans to select additional project sites for the Children's Complex Cultural Space Deullaknalak for the 15-minute city of Busan through a second district and county public contest in the second half of this year.
