Dongmyeong University Launches TU-Integrated Governance Council for Entrepreneurship Talent Development through Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration

Do-ing (Challenge·Experience·Practice) Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) held the launch ceremony of the Regional Industry-Academia Linked TU-Integrated Governance Council for nurturing regional settlement-type entrepreneurial talents on March 22 in Room 307 of the University Headquarters and Business Building on campus.

The Regional Industry-Academia Linked TU-Integrated Governance Council is a council established to cultivate regional settlement-type talents who can contribute to the local community through various program supports such as education and certification acquisition processes to enhance the creative capabilities of students from Dongmyung University’s Well-Life specialized departments including the College of Health and Welfare Education, College of Companion Animals, and College of Beauty Arts, student-industry mentoring, domestic and international expo visits, and startup item competitions.


The launch ceremony was attended by Jeon Jeong-hee, Dean of Academic Affairs at Dongmyung University; Kim Won, Director of the Job and Environment Bureau of Nam-gu, Busan; Shin Su-ho, Head of the Life Care Technology Division at Busan Technopark; Kim Dong-woo, Team Leader, and Kang Kyung-won, Manager of the Busan Intellectual Property Center of the Korea Invention Promotion Association; Yang Young-ae, President of the Korean Society for the Elderly-Friendly Industry; Yang Dong-ju, CEO of the Korea Safety Promotion Association; Jung Nam-jin, CEO of Riel Patent Law Office; Seo Hee-jeon, Dean of the College of Health and Welfare Education at Dongmyung University; Kim Su-jin, Dean of the College of Companion Animals; Kim Mi-hyun, Dean of the College of Beauty Arts; Jo Mi-rim, Head of the Department of Occupational Therapy (Project Responsible Professor); and other related personnel.


Dean Jeon Jeong-hee said, “I hope that the launch of the TU-Integrated Governance Council and the support for related education and programs will help strengthen the entrepreneurial capabilities of local university students and serve as a stepping stone to solving employment and startup issues.”
