Bucheon City in Gyeonggi announced on the 21st that it has signed a business agreement for mutual development with four local universities.
The city decided to establish a mutual cooperation system with Catholic University, Bucheon University, Seoul Theological University, and Yuhan University to promote mutual development and regional innovation and to nurture outstanding local talent.
To this end, they plan to cooperate and support mutual development between the local community and universities through continuous exchange and cooperation via regular meetings, policy development and joint project exploration for community development, and sharing of human and material infrastructure.

The presidents of the four universities expressed their commitment to cooperation, stating, "We will contribute to various fields of the local community by leveraging the characteristics of each university and move forward on the path of growing together with the region."
Cho Yong-ik, Mayor of Bucheon, emphasized, "There are 55,000 foreigners in the region, so policies for foreign university students also need to be considered," adding, "We need to attract good companies to the Daejang-dong industrial complex to create an environment where university students can find employment. We hope universities actively work together with industries and local governments to promote the influx of talent."
