Daegu Dong-gu Education Foundation (Chairman Yoon Seok-jun) held the 1st regular board meeting of 2024 at the Dong-gu Office large conference room and decided to provide scholarships of 2 million KRW for university students and 1 million KRW for high school students.
At the board meeting held on the 14th, executives including Chairman Yoon Seok-jun attended and finalized six agenda items, including the 2024 scholarship student selection plan.

The selection of scholarship students will accept applications for two weeks from March 18 to 29, undergo screening, be finalized at the May board meeting, and hold the scholarship award ceremony in June. Within a total budget of 200 million KRW, high school students will receive 1 million KRW each in four categories: academic excellence, special talents, aspirations, and love for Dong-gu, while university students will receive 2 million KRW each in the academic excellence category.
Application forms can be downloaded from the Daegu Dong-gu Education Foundation and Dong-gu Office websites, and applications can be submitted either in person or by registered mail.
Yoon Seok-jun, Chairman of the Daegu Dong-gu Education Foundation, stated, “2024 is the inaugural year of the Education Foundation. The foundation will serve as the control tower for education in Dong-gu and work to make Dong-gu a prestigious educational city where everyone wants to live.”
