Yoon Hye-jeong, Former Artistic Director of Gangwon Provincial Dance Company, Appointed as Director of Seoul City Dance Company

Sejong Center for the Performing Arts announced on the 13th that Yoon Hye-jeong, former artistic director of the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Dance Company, has been appointed as the director of the Seoul Metropolitan Dance Company. Yoon's term as the new director is two years.

Yoon Hye-jeong, the new director of the Seoul Metropolitan Dance Company, is a former member of the National Dance Company and served as the artistic director and resident choreographer of the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Dance Company from February 2016 to January of this year. She is a holder of Gyeongnam Intangible Cultural Property No. 21 Jinju Gyobang Gutgeori Dance and Seoul Intangible Cultural Property No. 45 Hallyangmu.

Director Yoon Hye-jeong expressed her inauguration remarks, saying, "I will lead the Seoul Metropolitan Dance Company with an open attitude that respects the value and depth of Korean traditional dance while fearlessly embracing the changes of the new era."
