Old Door-to-Door Sales Channel
Curated to Seller Preferences
Active for N-jobbers and Career-Interrupted Women
Amorepacific announced on the 1st that it will officially launch 'A-dit SHOP,' a platform where sellers can directly sell products through the New Commerce (formerly door-to-door sales) channel. Sellers will now be able to sell products not only through offline door-to-door sales but also via the online store, A-dit SHOP.
The official sellers in Amorepacific's New Commerce channel are divided into Counselors and A-ditors. Counselors focus on the traditional offline door-to-door sales, while A-ditors primarily operate through the online sales channel, A-dit SHOP. Counselors who mainly conduct offline sales can also engage in A-ditor activities centered on online channels. According to Amorepacific, there are currently about 27,000 active A-ditors, and approximately 16,000 sellers are working simultaneously as both Counselors and A-ditors.
A-ditors can open their own stores through the A-dit SHOP app. They can select desired products from various Amorepacific brands such as Sulwhasoo, Hera, HoliChual, and Vital Beauty to sell in their own A-dit SHOP stores. Amorepacific explained that A-dit SHOP underwent a pilot online sales operation last year, and based on positive feedback from sellers and customers, the platform has now been officially launched.
A-ditors who join A-dit SHOP benefit from no initial investment or inventory burden for selling products online. Unlike Counselors, who must register as business operators, A-ditors can open an A-dit SHOP without issuing a business registration certificate. Additionally, Amorepacific provides free distribution services such as payment processing, delivery, and customer consultation.
A-ditors can receive a sales commission of up to 25% of the sales amount each time a product is sold in their A-dit SHOP. They can also receive additional benefits by recommending A-ditor activities to acquaintances.
It is also possible to open an A-dit SHOP while working at another company or as a social media (SNS) influencer, as there are almost no barriers to initially opening an A-dit SHOP. The company explained that many of the current A-ditors are so-called 'N-jobbers' who hold multiple jobs. N-jobber Jeon Nuri, who operates an A-dit SHOP while working at her current job, said, "Since starting as an A-ditor, I feel that my ability to brand myself has improved, so I am satisfied."
Many women who had career interruptions due to childbirth and childcare are also active as A-ditors. Even if they lack experience in product or content creation and sales, they can receive various coaching provided by Amorepacific. Kim Jiseon, who works as an A-ditor while raising her child, said, "My main job is a Pilates instructor, but since my second child is young, I cannot go to the studio for a while. A-ditor is a job that can be sufficiently combined with childcare at home, so I highly recommend it to moms like me."
Amorepacific plans to continue growing A-dit SHOP in line with the market trend shifting toward digital. Hong Jaewook, Executive Director of Amorepacific New Commerce Division, said, "Since the introduction of Amorepacific's door-to-door sales business in 1964, it has continuously evolved over 60 years in response to rapidly changing markets and customer trends. Based on the accumulated know-how of offline personal sales, we plan to grow the A-dit SHOP business in line with the digital-centered distribution and consumption flow and lead a new culture in the beauty & wellness sector."
