User-Customized AI Assistant 'AmazonQ' and Other AI-Based Security Services Evolving
Amazon Web Services (AWS) emphasized that generative AI (artificial intelligence) will help improve work efficiency and that security is the top priority in their operations.
On the 23rd, AWS held the 2024 Tech Briefing to introduce its key services and present generative AI services aimed at enhancing work productivity.
Yang Seung-do, AWS Solutions Architect (SA) Leader, explained, "Amazon Q is a service announced to meet customers' demands for achieving higher work productivity using generative AI services," adding, "It is a generative AI service provided in a chat format."
He also stated, "Amazon Q is not a service for a specific user," and "It offers generative AI services targeting a diverse user base."
Amazon Q refers to a customized generative AI-based assistant, which includes ▲Amazon Q for Business ▲Amazon Q for Builders ▲Amazon Q in Connect ▲Amazon Q in SupplyChain ▲Amazon Q in QuickSight.
In particular, AWS highlighted that Amazon Q for Business has strengths in ▲utilizing internal corporate data for work tasks and problem-solving ▲integration with various AWS data services ▲providing guidance for work processing and reducing repetitive tasks ▲meeting strict security and privacy requirements.
Additionally, AWS introduced Amazon Bedrock for providing customized generative AI services. Amazon Bedrock is a service that uses foundation models (FM) to build and scale generative AI applications. It features accelerated API (application programming interface) app development without infrastructure management and the ability to fine-tune customized FMs using corporate data.
Furthermore, AWS provided information about the Amazon Titan Image Generator, a service that uses natural language prompts to generate studio-quality images, offers customized images with proprietary data tailored to brand styles, and boasts higher text-to-image alignment scores compared to several major models.
AWS also emphasized the importance of security operations. Leader Yang Seung-do said, "A feature that can detect whether any code poses a security threat has been released through Amazon Inspector," adding, "Security-related services are also evolving by leveraging generative AI technology."
