Kim Kyung-yul "Willingly Accept the Task of Clearing Out the Old Era and Ideologies"
Han Dong-hoon, Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, introduced on the 17th that accountant Kim Kyung-yul, who took on the role of an emergency response committee member, has challenged the incumbent lawmaker in Mapo-eul, Seoul.
At the New Year's meeting of the Seoul City Party held in Mapo-gu, Seoul, Chairman Han said, "There is Assemblyman Jeong in the Mapo-eul district. He is a figure symbolizing the Democratic Party, which has turned into Lee Jae-myung's personal shrine with 'Gaeddal democracy' and 'Gaeddal totalitarianism.'" He added, "Despite numerous inappropriate remarks and actions, many people resignedly said that Jeong Cheong-rae would win again because Mapo-eul is favorable to the Democratic Party." He continued, "People say it can't be helped, but it can be helped," and announced Kim's candidacy by saying, "In the April election, Kim, our People Power Party candidate, will run."
He said, "Accountant Kim has fought for fairness and justice throughout his life, regardless of political camps. Wherever there was injustice or where the weak suffered unfairly, Kim Kyung-yul was there," adding, "Now, Kim Kyung-yul says he will face Jeong Cheong-rae in Mapo." He asked, "Between People Power's Kim Kyung-yul and the Democratic Party's Jeong Cheong-rae, who is the real one?"
Introduced by Chairman Han, Kim Kyung-yul said, "If Chairman Han gives me the task of clearing away the old era and ideology, I gladly accept it," adding, "I will apply the strict standards we hold against our opponents equally to ourselves." He continued, "Yesterday in Gyeyang, Incheon, and today in Mapo, the People Power Party's difficult districts have disappeared," and said, "The places where I and we challenge now are battlegrounds from this moment on."
