N Vision 74, Ioniq 6, Grandeur, etc. received
Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 17th that nine products from its three complete car brands received awards at the 2023 Good Design Awards. In the transportation design category, Hyundai Motor's N Vision 74, Ioniq 6, Grandeur, Kona, Kia's EV9, and Genesis X Convertible were honored. In the interactive media category, Hyundai Motor's next-generation infotainment system ccNC Seon, mobility-exclusive typeface Hyundai Sans, and Kia's infotainment system Ki received awards.
The Hyundai N Vision 74 had previously won awards elsewhere, completing the global "Big Four" design awards (iF, IDEA, Red Dot, Good Design). It is a high-performance hybrid rolling lab based on hydrogen fuel cells, continuing the legacy of the Pony Coupe concept, Korea's first sports car introduced in 1974. Genesis also received an award this time, marking nine consecutive years of winning the Good Design Award since the brand's launch in 2015.
The U.S. Good Design Award is selected through collaboration between the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies. It annually announces winners across various categories for products from Fortune 500 and leading global companies. As the world's oldest design award, it comprehensively evaluates aesthetics, innovation, new technology, form, function, and environmental friendliness to determine the winners.
