Delivery Ceremony at Busan City Hall on the 11th, Medical Care Support
Single-Person Households Facing Difficulties in Hospital Use and Transportation Starting March
BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seong-bin) has launched a vehicle support project to assist patients visiting hospitals.
On the afternoon of the 11th, Busan Bank announced that it held a ‘Hospital Safe Companion Service Vehicle Support’ handover ceremony with the Busan Community Chest of Korea at Busan City Hall.
BNK Busan Bank is holding a delivery event for the 'Hospital Safe Companion Service Vehicle Support' in Busan City.
The Hospital Safe Companion Service is a project that provides vehicle support for hospital transportation assistance and accompaniment services to single-person households in the Busan area who have difficulty using hospitals.
Through this handover ceremony, Busan Bank will support 5 Hospital Safe Companion vehicles to local self-sufficiency centers. Service applications have been available since March of this year through local community centers, allowing use for 4 hours per session and up to 12 sessions annually.
Bang Seong-bin, President of Busan Bank, said, “We hope the Safe Companion Service will help reduce medical care disparities within the region,” and added, “Busan Bank will collaborate with local organizations to contribute to making Busan a city without welfare blind spots.”
Busan Bank has been carrying out welfare projects to help marginalized neighbors in the region. Last year, it conducted the ‘Love House Repair Project’ to improve housing welfare for the underprivileged, supporting repairs for 41 aging households. Additionally, it selected 284 academically outstanding students from financially disadvantaged families and awarded a total of 500 million won in scholarships.
