Yeongnam Region's Largest 24m Deep Diving Pool and Underwater Trick Art Implemented
Swimming Pool Membership Recruitment in January, Full Operation Starting February Next Year
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) will open the "Busan North Port Marina Diving Pool & Swimming Pool" within the Busan North Port redevelopment site on the 29th.
The facility is a total of five floors, with a swimming pool, shower rooms, and changing rooms on the 3rd floor; scuba offices and training rooms on the 4th floor; and a diving pool along with shower rooms and changing rooms on the 5th floor.
The diving pool is divided into five depth levels of 1.3m, 3m, 5m, 10m, and 24m, making it the deepest diving pool in the Yeongnam region, suitable for a wide range of users from beginners to experts. Trick art is implemented underwater in the diving pool, allowing divers to enjoy a more mysterious and vivid diving experience in a three-dimensional underwater environment.
The swimming pool has six lanes, each 22.5m long with a depth of 1.2m, and can be used not only for general swimming lessons but also as a survival swimming training center for students. The swimming lesson program will recruit members in January and begin operation in February.
The diving pool operates by reservation, which is currently available by phone, and online reservations will be possible later (mid-January) through the Busan Port Authority website.
For the swimming pool, on-site registration is only available. Membership recruitment is conducted from the 23rd to the end of the previous month, allowing monthly use or daily admission.
Jeon Seong-hoon, head of the Port Regeneration Project Group at BPA, said, “We will do our best to manage the facilities so that citizens can enjoy underwater leisure activities in a safe and comfortable environment.”
