In the proactive administration and innovation sector, it ranked first among 25 autonomous districts in Seoul in the ‘Comprehensive Evaluation of Proactive Administration by Local Governments’ hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, receiving the ‘Minister’s Award.’
Additionally, in the ‘Local Government Innovation Evaluation’ hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, it was selected as an excellent institution for four consecutive years among 243 local governments nationwide. It received high evaluations for the leader’s innovation leadership and activation of resident participation.
In the pledge fulfillment sector, under the slogan of the 8th elected term, ‘Working Dongjak, New Change,’ it promoted a total of 108 pledges across seven major areas, striving for changes that residents can feel.
As a result, it consecutively received the ‘SA grade’ in the ‘Evaluation of Pledge Implementation Plans of Nationwide Basic Local Governments for the 8th Elected Term’ hosted by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters, and the ‘Excellence Award’ in the ‘National Basic Local Government Manifesto Best Practice Competition.’
Moreover, in the field of law and order, it received the Prime Minister’s Commendation for creating a safe urban environment by developing the nation’s first ‘Integrated Crime Prevention Module’ combining emergency bells and closed-circuit television (CCTV), hosted by the Ministry of Justice’s ‘Crime Prevention Awards.’
Also, through sound and efficient financial management, it was the only district in Seoul selected as the best local government in the ‘Fiscal Year Local Government Financial Analysis’ hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, securing the Minister’s Award and a special grant of 100 million KRW.
Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, said, “This is the result of all Dongjak-gu office staff actively working with residents for new changes throughout the year,” and added, “We will continue to steadily implement various new policies that will empower and instill pride in our residents.”
