ResearchAlum expects robots equipped with GPT to be released on the 18th and anticipates growth next year for companies such as Intops, Neuromeka, and SBV Tech.
Woo Hwirang, a researcher at ResearchAlum, explained, "OpenAI unveiled GPT-4V(ision) last September," adding, "GPT-4V can utilize text, images, and voice through multimodal capabilities."
He continued, "It is expected that various robots with GPT serving as the brain will be released," and added, "As AI robot commercialization accelerates, interest will grow in mass production companies capable of large-scale manufacturing, including design and quality."
Researcher Woo stated, "Intops' manufacturing capabilities will be highlighted with the expansion of AI-equipped robot releases," and explained, "They hold cash assets of 424.3 billion KRW and are likely to consider business diversification such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A)." He added, "With over 30 years of accumulated technology, they provide total manufacturing solutions from planning to mass production," and expressed expectations for growth through smartphone market recovery and securing growth drivers in the robot manufacturing business.
Researcher Woo also analyzed, "Neuromeka has secured strong price competitiveness through internalization of motors and reducers," and "Expansion of industrial portfolios beyond medical and food sectors is expected." He emphasized, "They are securing major F&B supply achievements and preparing to enter the North American market."
He forecasted, "SBV Tech is expected to turn profitable due to the increased demand for the core component of the robot market, the ‘harmonic reducer,’ which grows at an average annual rate of 31.9%."
