BTuen, an artificial intelligence (AI) and big data specialized company (CEO Taeil An), announced on the 13th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Department of Big Data Medical Convergence at Kangwon National University (Department Head Sang-A Lee) to address elderly care issues and solve problems related to solitary elderly and lonely deaths caused by social isolation.
Through this MOU, both parties will calculate necessary indicators for analysis based on real-time vital and psychological data collected via Neul Band to solve issues of solitary elderly and lonely deaths. They will develop content that enables social activities through rehabilitation programs or communities linked with local societies according to AI-based analysis results. This will be applied to BTuen’s ‘Neul Silver Care’ platform. It is expected that this will allow real-time monitoring of the safety status of solitary elderly and enable prompt action in emergencies such as cardiac arrest, falls, and anxiety symptoms.
Additionally, they will undertake ▲winning projects for the Regional Leading Research Center (RLRC) ▲winning projects for the Convergence Research Center (CRC) ▲sharing technology trends, cases, and academic information to solve elderly care issues ▲and expanding application fields of the business.
The signing ceremony held at BTuen’s headquarters was attended by key officials from BTuen and the Department of Big Data Medical Convergence at Kangwon National University. This agreement aims to establish a mutual cooperation system to support the healthy lives of the elderly population in the ultra-aged society emerging domestically and globally.
The ‘Neul Silver Care’ platform, powered by this MOU, will not only expand services for nursing hospitals but also aggressively extend home care services for solitary elderly, evolving into a service encompassing the entire silver generation and strengthening competitiveness in the digital care industry.
