The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education held the '2023 Bilingual Festival' in conjunction with the Jeonnam Small Schools Expo at the Gwangju Kim Dae-jung Convention Center from the 9th to the 10th.
This festival was conducted to present the achievements of bilingual education carried out in schools so far, including multicultural education policy schools, multicultural education learning and enrichment programs, and bilingual clubs, and to establish future directions.

The experiential event, under the theme "Let's Play Together in Bilingual! Bilingual Playground," featured language learning related to numbers and colors, and operated bilingual experience booths combining traditional games from five countries: ▲China ▲Japan ▲Vietnam ▲Philippines ▲Mongolia.
The exhibition event, themed "Bilingual Greetings to Global Families," displayed various encouraging messages in multiple languages sent by students from bilingual clubs to global families.
Jung Byung-guk, Director of the Education Autonomy Division, said, "For all children in Jeonnam to grow into global talents, bilingual education must be actively conducted in schools," adding, "Next year, we will provide substantial support to revitalize bilingual education through training bilingual instructors, operating bilingual clubs, and managing bilingual education policy schools."
