The KOSPI is slightly rising above the 2500 mark due to net buying by institutions.
As of 10:05 AM on the 6th, the KOSPI recorded 2503.25, up 8.97 points (0.36%) compared to the previous trading day.
By investor type, individuals and foreigners net sold 18.6 billion KRW and 43 billion KRW respectively. Institutions net bought 63.3 billion KRW.
By sector, insurance and telecommunications rose more than 1%. Securities, construction, and services sectors are also slightly up. On the other hand, precision medical equipment fell 1.13%, and textiles and apparel, steel and metals, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals are declining.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics traded at 71,900 KRW, up 700 KRW (0.98%) from the previous trading day. POSCO Future M also rose 1.39%, while SK Hynix, Hyundai Motor, Kia, and Celltrion showed slight gains. Conversely, Samsung SDI fell 1.46%, and LG Energy Solution and Kakao experienced slight declines.
The KOSDAQ recorded 817.33, up 3.95 points (0.49%).
By investor type, individuals net bought 87 billion KRW. Meanwhile, foreigners and institutions net sold 60.8 billion KRW and 22.1 billion KRW respectively.
By sector, the internet sector rose 5.51%, and digital content, broadcasting services, general electric and electronics, and computer services increased by more than 1%. Conversely, other manufacturing, telecommunications services, machinery equipment, pharmaceuticals, and metals sectors slightly declined.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, EcoPro BM traded at 313,500 KRW, up 5,000 KRW (1.62%). HPSP jumped 7.40%, and JYP Ent. and L&F rose 4.47% and 3.86% respectively. On the other hand, POSCO DX, Rino Industrial, and Rainbow Robotics fell more than 1%.
