Winkstone Partners received a government commendation for providing appropriate financial services to small and medium-sized merchants who are in the financial blind spots.
On the 16th, Winkstone Partners announced that it received the Minister of Science and ICT Commendation in the ‘Fintech Merit’ group category at the ‘2023 Blockchain Promotion Week’ event hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
The Fintech Merit Award is given to organizations and individuals who have made significant contributions to the development, dissemination, and expansion of fintech-related systems and technologies. Selection is based on comprehensive evaluation of fintech business and research achievements, the continuous development and expansion potential of fintech businesses, and job creation.
Established in December 2018, Winkstone Partners supplied financial products for small and medium-sized merchants through diversification of customized mid-interest loan products and advancement of credit evaluation models. The company was highly evaluated for resolving funding difficulties faced by small and medium-sized merchants in financial blind spots, contributing to an average sales increase of 100%.
Oh-Hyung Kwon, CEO of Winkstone Partners, said, "Receiving the Minister of Science and ICT Commendation this time seems to mark a milestone in Winkstone Partners’ goal of innovation in financial services for small and medium-sized merchants. We will pursue a virtuous cycle of coexistence by realizing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) values that enhance the sustainability of our society so that all 7 million small and medium-sized merchants, an important pillar of our country’s economy, can receive fair financial benefits."
