Measures to Ensure Smooth CSAT Participation for 3,990 Examinees at 11 Seongbuk-gu Test Sites
Traffic Administration Department as Control Tower Cooperates with All Departments and 20 Dong Community Centers

Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) is implementing special traffic measures in preparation for the 2024 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) to be held on the 16th.
In Seongbuk-gu, a total of 3,990 test-takers are expected to take the CSAT at 11 testing sites.
Seongbuk-gu aims to do its best to ensure that test-takers can take the exam without any disruptions by organizing and operating a traffic control situation room, adjusting commuting hours and increasing public transportation capacity, deploying and operating emergency transport vehicles for test-takers, managing traffic around testing sites, and cracking down on illegal parking and stopping.
The 2024 CSAT special traffic measures in Seongbuk-gu will be coordinated by the Traffic Administration Division as the control tower, with cooperation from all departments and 20 resident centers in all neighborhoods.
The Traffic Administration Division will operate the traffic control situation room, run reserve village buses and guide concentrated dispatch, assign public officials to each testing site, support the transport of test-takers with administrative vehicles from the district office, report and disseminate emergency situations, and conduct patrols around testing sites.
The Traffic Guidance Division is responsible for cracking down on illegal parking and stopping around testing sites, controlling vehicle entry and exit and parking enforcement within 200 meters in front of testing sites, and intensively managing illegal parking and stopping on main roads within a 2 km radius of testing sites.
The Housing Maintenance Division and the Architecture Division, among other construction-related departments, will manage noise prevention and suspension of construction near testing sites.
Additionally, all 20 neighborhood resident centers will support administrative vehicles to safely transport test-takers to testing sites in emergencies. Emergency transport vehicles will be on standby at 12 subway stations and traffic blind spots within the area.
Furthermore, the district promotes active cooperation from residents to ensure smooth testing by encouraging ▲ refraining from using private cars during test-takers’ commuting hours (6:00 AM to 8:10 AM) ▲ walking for short distances (commuting to work or school) ▲ giving priority to test-takers when using public transportation ▲ driving slowly and refraining from honking around testing sites.
Mayor Lee Seung-ro, who has delivered messages to parents and test-takers every year, this year conveyed a message with a cheer song and a special video: "To our test-takers running toward your dreams! Seongbuk-gu will cheer hard to help you achieve good results in this CSAT."
