In an interview on the American NBC program 'Meet the Press' on the 12th (local time), Netanyahu responded to the question, "Is there a possibility of an agreement for the release of hostages?" with this statement.

Netanyahu emphasized that "the less you say (about the details), the greater the possibility of realization," and that any agreement would be "the result of pressure, military pressure."

He continued, "Military pressure can create an agreement for the release of hostages," and explained, "When we can secure an agreement, we will announce it."

Israeli authorities reported that during Hamas's surprise attack on Israel on the 7th of last month, more than 200 people were taken hostage by Hamas and brought to the Gaza Strip.

Among them, Hamas released two elderly Israeli citizens and two American women, and stated that they are prepared to release 12 more, but have been unable to do so due to Israeli airstrikes and ground operations.

Currently, the United States and Israel are discussing issues such as the release of hostages with the Qatari government, where the Hamas leadership is based.
