Support for 17 Languages Including Southeast Asian Languages
Woori Bank announced on the 9th that it has launched a customized mobile banking service, ‘Woori WON Global,’ to facilitate convenient financial transactions for foreign customers residing in Korea.
‘Woori WON Global’ supports a total of 17 languages, including Southeast Asian languages (Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Mongolian, Thai, Indonesian, Russian, Cambodian, Filipino, Uzbek, Sri Lankan, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Nepali, and Myanmar).
Rebuilt and launched from ‘Woori Global Banking,’ ‘Woori WON Global’ has strengthened its overseas remittance services frequently used by foreign customers. In addition to existing services such as Woori Global Quick Remittance, Mobile MoneyGram, and Cambodia WING Overseas Remittance, it newly introduced ▲‘Woori ONE Overseas Remittance’ and ‘Direct Overseas Remittance,’ which automatically transfer deposited amounts immediately ▲‘Woori UnionPay Quick Remittance,’ which sends money to China using the recipient’s name or UnionPay card number.
It also offers non-financial convenience services specialized for foreigners. These include a non-face-to-face ‘Departure Maturity Insurance Claim Agency’ service and a ‘Foreign Registration Card Delivery Tracking’ service that allows real-time tracking of registered mail delivery status for foreign registration cards.
To commemorate the launch of ‘Woori WON Global,’ starting from December, new subscribers and overseas remittance users will be entered into a draw to receive ▲5,000 KRW convenience store mobile coupons (new subscription) ▲10,000 KRW convenience store mobile coupons (one or more overseas remittances) ▲chicken coupons (two or more overseas remittances), with 2,000 winners for each. The top 10 customers with the highest cumulative overseas remittance transactions in a month will receive a 50,000 KRW food delivery gift certificate.
A Woori Bank official stated, “As the number of foreigners residing in Korea increases, we launched ‘Woori WON Global’ to enable foreign customers to conveniently use financial services in their native languages,” adding, “‘Woori WON Global’ will strive to become the easiest and fastest mobile banking service for foreign customers.”
