Yeongju City Council Holds Final Report Meeting of 'Specialized Education Policy Research Group for Regional Revitalization' Yeongju City Council.

The Specialized Education Policy Research Group for Regional Revitalization is a research group of Yeongju City Council members formed in April to explore more efficient and economical regional revitalization measures by reviewing favorable internal and external conditions for industry-academia linkage.

This final report meeting was an occasion to share the final results of the research conducted over approximately five months. It included the final report on ▲ policies for fostering specialized high schools ▲ policies for improving local living conditions ▲ measures to establish and support industry-academia cooperation bases, which were compiled from opinions presented at a roundtable meeting in August with local specialized high schools, company representatives, and executive department officials, as well as suggestions made during the mid-term report meeting in October.

Representative Yoo Chung-sang expressed, "I am grateful to the council members and researchers from the Local Administration Development Institute who worked hard together on this research activity," and added, "We will do our best not to let this end as a mere research project but to develop specialized education within the jurisdiction by establishing a foundation for cooperation among local government, industry, and academia, thereby overcoming the risk of local extinction due to population decline."
