Shopable Video Technology, Mobidoo (CEO Yoonhee Lee), the operator of Sauce, announced that it has launched the industry's first live commerce in collaboration with the pharmaceutical e-commerce platform The Shop.
The Shop is a pharmaceutical e-commerce platform for medical professionals such as doctors and pharmacists, where various vendors including pharmaceutical companies sell products such as pharmaceuticals to medical professionals through The Shop. In line with the digital transformation of the pharmaceutical environment accelerated by the recent pandemic, The Shop introduced the live commerce solution Sauce for the first time in the industry, establishing a new way of non-face-to-face product promotion and communication targeting medical professionals through Sauce.
The first live broadcast was conducted with a new product from a pharmaceutical company vendor of The Shop, achieving the highest average viewing time ever recorded among Sauce client broadcasts.
The Shop stated, “Live commerce targeting medical professionals such as pharmacists is expected to serve not only as a function to sell products but also as a channel to provide information about pharmaceuticals and communicate with medical professionals. By introducing Sauce, we were able to build an easy and convenient live commerce environment and achieve high marketing effectiveness by utilizing various functions unique to live commerce,” expressing their thoughts on the launch of the first broadcast.
