Korea Job Development Institute, a specialized company in online and offline job training, has been finally selected for the '2023 First Half Testbed Seoul Demonstration Support Project' hosted by the Seoul Business Agency.
On the 31st, Korea Job Development Institute announced that its Yakdongdonghaeng Edutech platform was finally selected for the Seoul City demonstration support project and has begun demonstrating a metaverse employment and recruitment platform for people with disabilities.
The 'Testbed Seoul Demonstration Project' provides various departments of Seoul City and 25 autonomous districts as demonstration sites for innovative products and services of the 4th Industrial Revolution, supporting the growth and market development of small and startup companies located in Seoul.
Since 2009, Korea Job Development Institute has been striving for job training and employment linkage for vulnerable employment groups such as people with disabilities and digital underprivileged. Taking this project as an opportunity, it plans to optimize the already developed platform according to the demand of corporate workplaces.
In this demonstration project, the SBA Hi Seoul Enterprise Team participates as the demonstration institution, and the Hi Seoul Enterprise Association participates as a cooperating institution.
Baek Seong-wook, CEO of Korea Job Development Institute, said, "It is characterized by enabling mobility-impaired people who have difficulty moving or those with facial disabilities who face restrictions in face-to-face activities to strengthen their job competencies and social skills to secure stable employment." He added, "The core of this project is to demonstrate and optimize Yakdongdonghaeng technology that makes it easy for people with disabilities to use, customized education focused on corporate recruitment demand, and systems such as commuting and internships in a metaverse environment."
