Education on Prevention of Four Major Violence Types and Budget/Ordinance Training for the 2nd Regular Meeting
The Gwangjin District Council (Chairman Chu Yoon-gu) conducted education on the prevention of the four major types of violence and training on budget and ordinance proposals on the 30th as part of strengthening council members' capabilities.
This training was organized to enhance the expertise of council members ahead of the 266th 2nd regular session starting on the 16th of next month. In the morning, mandatory education on the prevention of the four major types of violence was held in the main assembly hall, and in the afternoon, lectures on budget proposals and ordinance proposals were conducted in the briefing room.
In the morning session, Yang Sung-hee, CEO of the Good Character Education Development Institute, gave a lecture on the types of the four major violence, related laws, reporting cases, and countermeasures. In the afternoon, Professor Kim In-cheol from the Local Council Research Institute explained the standards for budget formulation and the contents of the budget, followed by Professor Kim Jong-doo's lecture on the definition of ordinance proposals, legislative procedures, and standards.
Chairman Chu Yoon-gu stated, “I hope that today's education on the prevention of the four major types of violence will raise gender sensitivity and serve as an opportunity to establish a healthy organizational culture.” He added, “Also, through today's training on budget and ordinance proposals prepared for the upcoming 266th 2nd regular session starting on the 16th of next month, I hope all council members recognize the importance of budget review and strive to formulate budgets that serve the residents.”
