"Even Bears Preparing for Hibernation Are Active... Caution Advised"
Authorities Capture and Euthanize According to Internal Policy
A video has been released showing a security guard being attacked by a wild black bear at a luxury resort in the United States. Ultimately, the black bear was euthanized in accordance with authorities' guidelines.
According to ABC News and others on the 27th, on the 23rd, an incident occurred at a luxury resort in Aspen, Colorado, where a security guard was attacked by a black bear and thrown about 2 meters, falling to the ground.
The released closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage shows the security guard cautiously moving inside the hotel kitchen while holding a walkie-talkie. Suddenly, startled by the black bear that appeared, he tried to run away, but at that moment, the black bear pushed the guard with one paw.
Fortunately, the black bear did not attack the fallen security guard again and ran away. The injured guard was immediately transported to a hospital for treatment. It was reported that the guard had responded to a call about something appearing in the kitchen and suffered this ordeal.
Colorado authorities captured the black bear two days after the incident and euthanized it according to internal policy. Authorities stated, "This incident is an unfortunate reminder that bears remain active even while preparing for hibernation," urging residents to be cautious.
