Leading Investment & Securities stated on the 30th that "Korea Computer is expected to achieve consolidated sales of 457.8 billion KRW and operating profit of 19.8 billion KRW this year, indicating a stable performance," and "Next year, consolidated sales are projected to reach 501.1 billion KRW with an operating profit of 25.7 billion KRW, marking the period when performance growth will begin in earnest as sales for the iPad are reflected."
They evaluated that if OLED PBA sales expand to other products such as MacBook starting from 2025, in addition to iPad sales, there is sufficient additional upside potential for the stock price.
Korea Computer specializes in Surface Mount Technology (SMT). It supplies OLED-PBA for Apple iPhones through Samsung Display. Recently, with the expected release of iPad models (11 and 13 inches) equipped with OLED, it is anticipated that Korea Computer will benefit from supplying OLED-PBA for the iPad.
In 2024, approximately 10 million units of iPads with OLED are expected to be released annually, and this number is projected to increase to about 40 million units in 2025?2026.
Furthermore, with the application of OLED to the iPad, the average selling price is expected to rise significantly due to the increase in display area. If OLED expands to MacBook and foldable iPhone and iPad models in the future, additional growth for Korea Computer will also be possible.
