The Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency conducted a crackdown on drunk driving across various locations in the province on the 28th, apprehending 30 individuals who drove under the influence of alcohol.
Starting from midnight, the provincial police carried out the 7th autumn holiday season province-wide drunk driving crackdown at 25 locations, including the Haman, Sacheon, and Hamyang toll gates (TG), major tourist spots, and dining areas.
According to the provincial police, among those caught was a man in his 50s near the public stadium on Jinyangho-ro in Jinju City at around 8:05 p.m. that day. Of the 30 offenders, 24 had their licenses revoked, and 6 received license suspensions.

The provincial police plan to strengthen patrols in high-risk traffic accident areas and increase base duty, conducting not only holiday crackdowns but also daytime and nighttime operations on weekdays to prevent drunk driving traffic accidents during the autumn holiday season.
A representative from the provincial police stated, “Drunk driving endangers not only the driver but also the lives of others. Since it can easily lead to major accidents, if you have had even one drink, never drive.”
They added, “If you see a vehicle suspected of drunk driving, please report it immediately by calling 112.”
