Regarding the fatal accident caused by the vehicle carrying actor Oh Jung-se colliding with a tractor ahead, the agency expressed regret, stating that "this is not an issue to be centered around the passenger Oh Jung-se."
Oh Jung-se's agency, Prain Global, stated on the 20th, "It does not seem respectful to the deceased for the accident to be focused on the actor, and in fact, it is making the bereaved families' hearts even heavier."
The agency added, "Now is the time to devote our hearts and time to comforting the victims and their families," and "We are actually doing so, and the actor is also participating in this process."
However, they explained, "Since the driver is a company employee and the incident occurred during work, legal responsibility will be pursued depending on the presence and degree of negligence after the police investigation."
The vehicle carrying Oh Jung-se caused an accident on the 18th in Buri-myeon, Geumsan-gun, Chungnam Province, by colliding with a tractor ahead. As a result of this accident, among the couple in their 60s riding the tractor, the husband died and the wife was seriously injured.
At the time of the accident, Oh Jung-se's manager, Mr. A, was driving, and it was confirmed that he was not under the influence of alcohol. Oh Jung-se and Mr. A were also taken to a nearby hospital after the accident and received treatment.
