SKT Provides AI Live Broadcast of All KBL Games on 'A.Dot'

SK Telecom announced on the 20th that it will provide free live streaming of all 2023-2024 professional basketball (KBL) games and AI content on A. (A.Dot).

To mark the opening of the professional basketball season, SKT has launched a dedicated basketball home on A. and will stream all games for free. For SKT customers, data charges are free.

Basketball fans can enjoy a differentiated basketball experience based on data such as game schedules, rankings, player information, real-time scores, and player- and team-specific statistics on the professional basketball home.

SKT also offers various AI content for basketball fans. The AI content includes AI highlights, AI short-form videos, and AI key scenes, all automatically edited by AI. Content will be provided focusing on favorite teams and players according to user preferences. In particular, AI key scenes generate clips of scoring moments during the game, allowing fans to instantly rewatch missed scoring scenes. AI highlights and AI short-form videos provided after the game create content that lets basketball fans enjoy each game from multiple perspectives.

SKT will also launch a cheering talk service where basketball fans can communicate with each other via real-time chat. Additionally, various video content such as player interviews before and after matches and vlogs will be provided to bring fans closer to the players. Users who want to watch professional basketball through A. can simply say “Show me professional basketball” on A. to select and watch the game currently being broadcast.

SKT plans to provide data-based live streaming of the upcoming handball league in November on A. and will continue to expand sports broadcasting using AI in the future.
