On that day, Korea trailed India by 1 point as So Chae-won shot a 9 on the first arrow of the 1st end, while India scored four 10s. In the 3rd end, Deotale shot a 9 on the first arrow, but Joo Jae-hoon and So Chae-won scored four 10s in the 3rd end, tying the score at 119-119. Thus, following the silver medal won at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Games when the mixed team event was introduced, they recorded silver medals for the second consecutive time. This was also the first medal for Korean archery in this competition.

Joo Jae-hoon, a former archery enthusiast who earned the Taeguk mark after five attempts, took a leave of absence from his company to participate in the competition. He currently works as a security officer at Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power. The remaining events are the men's team and individual events, where he will challenge for gold and bronze medals respectively.

So Chae-won, who won the silver medal in the mixed event at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Games, also recorded a silver medal this time. She will challenge for two crowns in the women's individual and team events.
