Geochang-gun Holds 'Next Year's Major Work Plan Report Meeting'

Discussion on Current Issues, Priority, and New Projects for the 8th Elected Administration's Business Promotion

Geochang County in Gyeongnam announced on the 22nd that it held the '2024 Major Work Plan Report Meeting' at the county office situation room, attended by County Governor Goo In-mo, the deputy governor, directors, department heads, and responsible officers.


This report meeting was organized to specifically discuss the strategies for promoting 273 ongoing, priority, and new projects based on the county administration's achievements so far, aiming for concrete results in the second year of the 8th elected term.

The county plans to promote key projects for 2024 in the 8th elected term, including ▲the establishment of Geochang-type Medical Welfare Town ▲the creation of Geochang Regional Vitality Town ▲the development and operation of a World Elevator Hub City ▲the creation of Premium Geochang Wicheon ▲the establishment of Geochang Challenge Valley ▲and the Sangnim-ri Urban Forest Development Project.


In particular, various citizen-oriented policies have been developed to increase not only the resident population but also the living population, such as ▲expanding support for multi-child households to overcome low birth rates ▲increasing relocation settlement funds and childcare support funds ▲expanding youth dream voucher support ▲constructing youth rental housing ▲reducing sports facility usage fees and water and sewage charges for multi-child households.


Governor Goo said, “Based on a well-established work plan for 2024, we will accelerate the implementation of major projects including the 8th elected term pledges to create a changed Geochang that citizens can feel.”


Meanwhile, the reported 2024 major work plan will be revised and supplemented before being reported to the Geochang County Council in October, and after a public report meeting to gather residents' opinions in November, it is expected to be finalized with budget reflection by the end of December.
