Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesperson, responded on the 11th (local time) in an interview with Russian international news channel RTVI to a question about whether a meeting between President Putin and Chairman Kim is scheduled during the Eastern Economic Forum, saying, "Contact between the two leaders is not planned at the Eastern Economic Forum."
RTVI also reported that Peskov neither confirmed nor denied Chairman Kim's visit to Russia.
The Eastern Economic Forum, which opened on the 10th in Vladivostok in Russia's Far East, will continue for four days until the 13th.
President Putin's schedule for attending the Eastern Economic Forum lasts until the 12th.
Accordingly, there are local speculations that a North Korea-Russia summit could possibly be held near Vladivostok on the 13th or 14th at the earliest.
