Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesperson, responded this way on the 7th (local time) when asked by reporters whether North Korean State Affairs Commission Chairman Kim Jong-un plans to visit Russia soon.
He said, "We have our own relationship with North Korea. We consider this relationship valuable, and they are our neighbors."
He added, "We will continue to develop relations with them without considering the opinions of other countries."
However, regarding Chairman Kim's plan to visit Russia, he avoided a clear answer, saying, "As before, we have nothing to say on this matter."
These remarks came amid speculation that Chairman Kim may visit Russia later this month to hold a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
