KG Mobility, Industry's First to Conclude This Year's Wage and Collective Bargaining Negotiations

KG Mobility has become the first domestic automaker to complete this year's wage and collective bargaining agreement negotiations.

KG Mobility announced on the 4th that the tentative agreement for this year's wage and collective bargaining was approved with a 56.57% approval rate in the union members' vote held on the 3rd. With this, KG Mobility has successfully concluded negotiations without disputes for 14 consecutive years since 2010.

A KG Mobility official evaluated the significance of this negotiation settlement, stating, "Based on a model labor-management culture of coexistence and cooperation, we can now focus all our capabilities on normalizing management."

The labor and management of KG Mobility agreed that a stable labor-management relationship is most important for increasing sales volume, the company's future development and sustainability, and job security. In a situation where labor and management in the domestic automobile industry, such as Hyundai Motor and Kia, are facing difficulties in wage and collective bargaining discussions, KG Mobility's move is explained as a model case demonstrating an advanced labor-management culture.

Starting with a preliminary meeting in June, KG Mobility labor and management reached a tentative agreement at the 17th negotiation session on the 1st. The tentative agreement was finally approved with 56.57% of the vote. The main points include ▲a 50,000 KRW increase in the basic salary ▲the establishment of a one-day special leave for the employee's 60th birthday.
