Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Lee Gi-jae) will operate meaningful experience programs tailored to the characteristics of each park at Pari Park and Yeonui Ecological Park during the hot summer vacation in August, allowing the whole family to enjoy together and create special memories.
First, at Pari Park, to feel the unique charm of the park, a special program themed ‘Dreaming of The Little Prince (R?ve f?te)’ inspired by the famous French literary work ‘The Little Prince’ will be offered from August 17 to 20 for four days at ‘Salon de Paris’ and the ‘Book Resting Place’.
Children will embark on a quest to find The Little Prince within Pari Park and enjoy key programs such as ▲Making my own asteroid B612 lamp using photos taken with friends and family ▲Decorating my own baobab tree ▲The Little Prince storytelling, providing a valuable time to spark curiosity and imagination.
At Yeonui Ecological Park, the ‘Twinkling Under the Starlight’ program will be held on the evening of August 19. Especially conducted with a forest interpreter, participants will learn about aquatic insects and plants inhabiting the wetlands of Yeonui Ecological Park during summer and have a chance to spend a more meaningful summer vacation through unique experiential activities utilizing the wetlands.
The main programs consist of five diverse activities: ▲Making eco-friendly mosquito repellent natural cinnamon garlands ▲Solving quizzes on carbon neutrality ▲Walking hand in hand with mom and dad ▲Spending summer with lotus leaves ▲Curious about wetlands?
In addition to this summer vacation special program, ongoing experience programs such as ▲Calligraphy ▲Making naturally dyed handkerchiefs ▲Creating floral embroidery eco-bags are being operated at Yangcheon Park Book Resting Place and Neomeundeul Park Book Resting Place throughout August.
In particular, the Pari Park Book Resting Place plans to screen French-themed movies twice. Applications are available from August 1 through the ‘Seoul Public Service Reservation’ website, and for further inquiries, contact the Parks and Greenery Division.
