Up to 300,000 KRW Brokerage Fee Support for Rent and Lease for Low-Income Residents
Targeting National Basic Livelihood Security Recipients, Child Heads of Household, Disabled Households, etc.
No Separate Application Required; Brokerage Fee Up to 300,000 KRW Supported Upon Rent or Lease Contract and Move-in Registration
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) is implementing a ‘Free Brokerage Service’ this year as well to help low-income residents secure stable housing.
Since 2009, the district has institutionalized and implemented the nation’s first ‘Free Brokerage Service for Low-Income Residents.’ This service supports brokerage fees incurred during rent or lease contracts for national basic livelihood security recipients, child heads of household, disabled households, and others.
From 2020, the maximum tenant deposit amount was increased from 75 million KRW to 100 million KRW to expand the program.
The free brokerage service can be applied for at any time without a time limit. Without a separate application, after signing a rent or lease contract and registering the move-in at the local community service center, the responsible official will verify eligibility and support brokerage fees up to 300,000 KRW.
Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi of Jungnang-gu said, “We hope that the brokerage fee support will help ease the financial burden on low-income residents even a little,” and added, “We will continue to develop various policies that can practically help residents achieve housing stability.”
Since 2009 through the first half of this year, the district has supported brokerage fees totaling over 250 million KRW for 2,022 households, marking the largest support scale nationwide.
