Gyeongnam Nonghyup Exhibits 100% Domestic Fresh Flowers ‘NH Saengsaeng Flower Wreath’

Held in the Lobby on the 1st Floor of Gyeongnam Provincial Council

The NH Saengsaeng Flower Wreath Joint Business Alliance is holding an exhibition of 'NH Saengsaeng Flower Wreaths' made with 100% domestically grown fresh flowers in the lobby on the first floor of the Gyeongnam Provincial Council building on the 7th and 8th.

This exhibition was organized with the purpose of revitalizing flower consumption through Nonghyup's 'NH Saengsaeng Flower Wreath' amid the difficulties faced by flower farmers due to decreased flower consumption caused by the economic downturn and the use of artificial (plastic) flowers.

The NH Saengsaeng Flower Wreath is a new type of wreath made with 100% domestically grown fresh flowers, designed so that after the event, attendees can share the flowers in small packages. Last year, Nonghyup Economic Holdings and product-specific Nonghyup cooperatives formed a joint business group and created 10 standard wreath models to ensure uniform quality wreaths can be received anywhere nationwide.

The use of Saengsaeng Flower Wreaths is expected to foster a culture of daily flower appreciation, prevent problems such as the use of artificial flowers and reuse of wreaths, and positively impact the normalization of flower distribution.

Choi Seonghwan, chairman of the Bukyeong Horticultural Nonghyup, said, “I hope that Saengsaeng Flower Wreaths using various seasonal flowers become widespread and help increase the income of flower farmers struggling with the slump in flower consumption. We also ask consumers to show active interest and participation in using fresh flowers rather than artificial ones.”
