Jin Air Conducts Environmental Protection Activities at Jeju Companion Beach

In November last year, Jin Air jointly adopted Jeju Hangyeong-myeon Eungal Coast and Geomeunmorae Beach as companion beaches together with the Catholic Child and Youth Foundation. The companion beach project is a marine protection activity where companies or organizations care for and maintain beaches as if taking care of companion animals.

Eungal Coast and Geomeunmorae Beach are coastal areas around Suwolbong, which is registered as a UNESCO Global Geopark. Since 2019, the two organizations have conducted environmental cleanup activities together every year. Additionally, to expand more systematic and sustainable environmental protection and social contribution, the two organizations signed a business agreement in January this year.

Participants arrived in Jeju Island on the morning of the 7th and, after preliminary training, carried out cleanup activities. Active and systematic work was conducted, including collecting pollutants on the beach, recording the types and quantities of waste, and tidying up the surrounding coastal area.

Meanwhile, in April, Jin Air invited youths from the Catholic Child and Youth Foundation to the company, providing an introduction to the aviation industry along with job experience opportunities for flight crew and cabin crew, creating an educational time for aspiring young talents. Going forward, Jin Air plans to broadly implement ESG management, including environmental protection and educational donations.

A Jin Air official stated, "By continuously practicing social responsibility, we will continue to develop into a company that consumers can trust even more."
