Lotte Healthcare Partners with IconAI for 'Smart Mirror' Integration

Cooperative Development of Interactive Health Management Service
"Online and Offline Platform Scalability to Increase"

Lotte Healthcare is partnering with a specialized AI (artificial intelligence) device manufacturer to expand its platform.

On the 8th, Lotte Healthcare announced that it signed a business cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) with AI startup ICON.AI on the 7th. Lotte Healthcare operates a personalized health management platform called 'CAZZLE.'

At the signing ceremony, Woo Woong-jo, Head of Business at Lotte Healthcare, and Shin Min-young, CEO of ICON.AI, attended. Through the MOU, the two companies agreed to jointly develop home healthcare solutions and collaborate on developing interactive health management services utilizing voice recognition technology.

ICON.AI is a company specializing in manufacturing all-in-one AI devices with displays. In 2020, it was selected as the system integration (SI) partner for 'Amazon Alexa,' the world's leading voice recognition AI assistant, for the first time in Korea. Based on this, it introduced the world's first smart mirror equipped with Alexa, winning a total of six innovation awards at CES.

A Lotte Healthcare official stated, "The main point is that CAZZLE users will be able to measure key health indicators and experience management services not only through the mobile app but also via ICON.AI's smart mirror." He added, "If smart mirrors placed indoors, such as in bedrooms or living rooms, are used as a kind of homecare device, CAZZLE can be easily used not only in ordinary households but also in senior towns, hotels, and resorts, ultimately enhancing the platform's online and offline scalability."

Lotte Healthcare was established in April last year to secure new growth engines for the Lotte Group. Its core business is providing personalized health management solutions through the healthcare-specialized platform CAZZLE. Currently, to ensure platform stability, an open beta service has been underway since mid-April, with the official service scheduled to launch in August.
