Exhibition from the 2nd, 13 Meetings with Participating Artists Included
The Suncheon Cultural Foundation (Chairman Noh Gwan-gyu), which operates the Suncheon Creative Arts Village No. 3 Joganghun Art Studio, is hosting the "2023 Korean Arts and Culture Masters Suncheon Invitational Exhibition" until the 30th.
Under the main theme "Beyond the Wall, the Power of Convergence," the invitational exhibition is divided into two venues: the first exhibition hall, Joganghun Art Studio Guihyang (歸鄕), and the second exhibition hall, Suncheonbu Eupseong Nammunteo Plaza Planning Exhibition Room Bisang (飛上).
This exhibition features works inspired by nature, aiming to widely promote the beauty and artistic charm of Honam by embodying the values of regional cultural and artistic development, people, and hope.
The masters participating in the invitational exhibition include Kang Seong-su, Kim Il-hwan, Park Oe-su, Hwang Gap-ju, Kwon Ae-ran, Kwon Tae-young, Kim Kwang-hee, Kim Eun-mi, Noh Geun-jin, Park Ae-seon, Park Yuk-cheol, Oh Jeong-geun, Jeong Jong-gwan, Jeong Hyeong-jun, Jo Gi-seong, and Hwang Bo-bokrye, all cultural heritage figures of the Republic of Korea. Selected works embodying the artistic spirit of these 16 masters will be exhibited throughout June.
Oh Jeong-geun, the exhibition’s general director, said, "We hope to offer citizens and visitors a moving and creative essence and become a fragrant flower in Suncheon’s cultural and artistic space, creating a gentle resonance."
Admission to the exhibition is free, and meetings with the artists will be held 13 times in total, each lasting two hours (14:00?16:00) starting from the 2nd, at the Suncheonbu Eupseong Nammunteo Plaza Planning Exhibition Room, allowing visitors to appreciate the works more deeply.
