The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will hold career fairs in 31 cities and counties to support students' creative career exploration and planning.
The career fairs, held until November, will be conducted as festival-style events where career experience support centers, education support offices, local governments, related organizations, and schools collaborate for participation by both students and local residents.
This year, the Office of Education plans to operate the fairs in various formats, including ▲future promising job experiences related to the 4th Industrial Revolution ▲Dream Road career experiences ▲career booths operated by public and private institutions ▲university department experiences ▲student clubs and career and college counseling ▲career concerts.
To this end, the Office will promote sharing of best practices for career fairs, strengthening capabilities through building cooperative networks, and providing on-site support and consulting for career fairs in each city and county, targeting career experience support centers and responsible supervisors.
Additionally, to revitalize the career education ecosystem involving the local community, a cooperative system among institutions will be established to support stable career education.
Education support offices within the province will also meet with career education officers from each institution before the fairs to thoroughly review event operations tailored to local circumstances, such as school and regional briefings and career experience provider training.
Kim Seon-gyeong, Director of Career and Vocational Education at the Office of Education, stated, "Career education that reflects students' needs and social changes is very important in helping students find their own paths," adding, "We will actively strive to revitalize career education so that students can freely explore and experience their dreams and talents."
