Busan's Gijang County and the Busan Film Commission are joining hands to promote local film and video production.
On the 24th at 3 p.m., Jeong Jong-bok, the head of Gijang County, and Kang Seong-gyu, chairman of the Busan Film Commission, signed a business agreement at the Video Industry Center to mutually cooperate on supporting film and drama shoots within Gijang County and jointly promoting location incentive support projects.
The main projects to be promoted include ▲joint promotion of location incentive support projects ▲promotion of location fam tours for film and video industry professionals in Gijang County ▲support projects for web drama productions based on Gijang County.

Jeong Jong-bok, the county head, said, “Through this agreement, we can expect a positive ripple effect not only in attracting film and video productions to the Gijang area but also in revitalizing such activities throughout Busan.”
He added, “We will actively promote collaborative projects with the Busan Film Commission to provide incentives for works filmed in Gijang County, thereby linking local tourism and revitalizing the regional economy.”
Since 2000, a total of 322 films and video productions have been shot in Gijang County, with various local locations such as Gijang Ceramic Village, Imrang Beach, Yonggungsa Temple, and Ahopsan Forest gaining attention from production companies.
