Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 19th that it has promoted the 'Small Business Stability Support Fund Project' as a pledge project of the 8th local government to alleviate the management burden of small business owners struggling due to the economic downturn.
The city began accepting applications on March 6 and paid the stability support fund this month to 3,193 applicants who met the support criteria out of 3,235 applicants.
The Small Business Stability Support Fund Project provided 500,000 KRW (in mobile Jeongeup Love Gift Certificates) per business site to small business owners and self-employed individuals with sales of 100 million KRW or less in 2022, operating stores within the jurisdiction, to stabilize their management.
In cases where two or more business sites were operated, the support fund was paid for only one business site.
Mayor Lee Hak-su said, "We expect that this support for small business owners who have endured great pain due to the economic downturn will help stabilize their management, even if only a little."
